The “AI4Boards” program is built on four foundational pillars, each offering crucial insights into the world of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) from a board member’s perspective: hands-on experience, strategic opportunities and challenges, GenAI readiness, and risk and governance.
This program is specifically designed to enhance the effectiveness, measurability, and value creation of GenAI initiatives within organizations, while highlighting the critical role of board governance in navigating AI.
The training is organized in cooperation with Guberna and will be given in a Guberna training location.

End product
Participants who complete the program will receive an official Certificate of Attendance, acknowledging their engagement and participation in the “AI4Boards” program.

9:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Hands-On GenAI Experience
Facilitators: Pieter De Buysser & Anneleen Van de Meulebroucke
Led by an AI technology expert and a legal specialist, this interactive morning session provides a practical, non-technical introduction to GenAI.
Through an immersive Experience Lab, board members will gain a firsthand understanding of:
- Core technological components of GenAI, its terminology, capabilities, and risks.
- Legal implications of deploying GenAI in their organization.
This session explores the legal frameworks (including the European AI Act) and ethical boundaries essential for navigating GenAI responsibly. Participants will address critical concerns such as bias, privacy, legal liabilities, and the impact of GenAI on ESG principles (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
By the end of the session, participants will be equipped to make informed strategic decisions and guide their organizations through the transformative journey toward AI-driven operations.
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Strategic Challenges of GenAI
The afternoon session dives into the strategic, governance, and accountability dimensions of GenAI.
